Matt Mohangee Joins Forgotten Gods on Drums
We are delighted to announce officially that Matt has joined the band on a permanent basis. He has been working with us since May deputising for our late drummer Dave Hallett. As the gigs and rehearsals went by & we all got to know each other we realised Matt really had to be our choice. Not only can he make a decent racket with a drum kit, the guy is good company and an all around cracking bloke. So the new chapter begins. Matt joins us at an interesting and exciting time. We are slightly more than half way through writing the material for our second album & have been road-testing a couple of the songs live. We are planning to increase our number of gigs in the UK and further afield in 2026 and 2027 with some dates we will be announcing shortly. See you on the road soon. Forgotten Gods Get 'Special Guest' Slot at Taste Of Soundle Festival in December
The band is delighted to announce we will be the Special Guests at the Taste of Soundle all-day prog festival on Sunday 14th December.
The event is held at the Queen Victoria Hall in Oundle (does the name make sense now? :-) ) and 'just as it says on the tin' it's the taster event for the full Soundle festival to be held in June 2026,. Five bands will perform at the event which starts at 1pm with the superb melodic 'proggers' Stuckfish the headliners and Forgotten Gods going on stage immediately before them.
We're looking forward to this one as we will be delivering over an hour of our material so we will be giving the audience everything from Memories and all the completed new material for the second album which we hope to release back end of Spring 2026.
Tickets for this all-dayer are only £25 in advance so only £5 per band. Surely that's an absolute bargain. Get yours here:

FG to Support Stuckfish in the North East in Sept
We've been asked by the lovely guys in Stuckfish to support them at The Studio in Hartlepool on Saturday 6th September. Stuckfish IV their latest album was voted one of the Top Ten albums of 2024 in the Prog Magazine annual readers poll only a couple of weeks ago.

Mark our singer is really looking forward to being able to perform in the North East once again, a place he considers 'home' after living in Newcastle for over 20 years. He's got his fingers crossed a few old pals will show up. We promise there will be no (well not many) monkey jokes on the night!

Forgotten Gods get a mention in Prog Magazine
OK, ok it's right down the page & it is part of the Summer's End line up announcement but...it is our first mention in those hallowed pages. Alright, alright, it's the website really. And they managed to make a typo with our name calling us Forgotten Earth because of the wonderful Long Earth being in the line above us. But hey ho, it's the thought that counts right and we'd absolutely rather be there than not....right? Too right !

John Jowitt to Perform With Fogotten Gods at 1865
GigWe're delighted to announce that John Jowitt will be taking on bass duties for our gig at The 1865 on 5th May.
Unfortunately Mike our own bass player has a diary clash that's simply insurmountable. JJ agreed to take on the gig and we know he's going to absolutely nail it. For some mad reason he seems very happy to be involved
There cannot be many in the prog scene who do not know of JJ's pedigree but suffice to say he is currently the bass player in Rain, Tim Bowness' live band Butterfly Mind and will also soon be appearing as a member of the Freedom To Glide live band. He's previously been a member of IQ, Frost and other big names.
It's going to be superb to share a stage with him but tinged with a slight element of disappointment that Mike will not be able to share in what will be our biggest gig to date.

Forgotten Gods to Support Also Eden at The 1865 5th May
We have been invited to support Also Eden at the rather excellent 1865 venue in Southampton. The gig is Sunday 5th May and we shall be second on the bill in a three act line up that also includes multi-instrumentalist  Howard Sinclair performing a solo set.
To be invited personally by a band as well respected as Also Eden has really chuffed us all to bits including as it does one of the great voices of the neo prog scene in front man Huw Lloyd Jones.
